Within our 12 graduate colleges and schools, we offer more than 100 graduate and doctoral degree programs. While the scope and content of many programs are guided by professional requirements, many more offer a range of personal choice and creativity in shaping a graduate education that’s purposeful, practical and personal. We are proud to remain, for the 18th consecutive year, the nation’s largest Catholic university. We also are the 13th largest private, not-for-profit university in the USA.
In fall 2016, our total enrollment was 23,110 students. Our graduate enrollment currently accounts for 29 percent of the total university enrollment. Almost 2,000 international students, from 110 countries attend DePaul. This represents 7% of the total enrollment and is a growing number.

DePaul operates on the quarter system (except for the College of Law). Fall classes begin in early September and end by the end of November. Winter classes begin the first week of January and end in mid-March. Spring classes are held from late March until mid-June. Summer quarter is optional.
CAREER AND ALUMNI
There are no clearer measures of a college’s value than the demand for and success of its graduates. More than 450 companies recruited DePaul students in the 2015-16 academic year,
either by attending job fairs or participating in
the On-Campus Interviewing Program. This is in addition to several thousand organizations who posted openings on DePaul’s job board. Recent data shows that 93 percent of our graduate-level alumni are employed, pursuing another degree or not seeking.
Our graduates receive more than just a degree. They also become part of our alumni community, which is more than 175,800 strong. In fact, more than 113,000 alumni live in the Chicago metropolitan area—opening the door to an unparalleled network of potential mentors, colleagues and employers.
